GIVING A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO "BIKER WALLET"

This is one beast of a wallet. As usual, whenever I handcraft a leather wallet, I tend to dream big. And big is what this wallet is - I could be wrong, but it seriously feels like it weighs close to a pound...without my cards, coins, money, etc.

I really wanted this to look like a real Engineer Boot shaft, so I took ideas from a few of my boots.  I had endless ideas for the "innards," but I decided to keep it fairly simple - 5+1 card slots, two large bill/mandatory large military type cards and a generous coin pocket.

Triple stitched backstay

Made with 4/5 ounce vegetable tanned cowhide and pigskin lining/gussets.

The outer card slot was a must, especially when ones military ID is required when traveling from base to base, entering the PX/BX and accessing my office computer

Fully functional upper strap using a custom Okuyama roller buckle.

A coin pocket is must for my ¥.

I really like the way it looks like I have an Engineer Boot sticking out of my back pocket with a functional D ring in case I want to add a custom leather lanyard.  I may add some studs to the "upper strap" for a better visual effect.

  2. You mention having a coin pocket for your yen, to my mind the only leathernecks that need yen are in Oki. If you happen to be on Oki island and rode an LCU (not those fancy LCAC's) in the past 6 months I probably saw you and didn't even realize it haha
