RANDOM ENGINEER BOOTS

Why is Chippewa the classic American Engineer Boot?  'Cause they were worn on the big screen by two classic American cultural icons; James Dean and Marlon Brando - Yes, I've concluded that Marlon Brando rocked the Chippewa's on The Wild One (more on that in a future post).

I've posted countless pairs of 1940's / 1950's Chippewa's and will never get tired of it.  The profile on 'em are easily - or should be by most collectors - recognizable around the globe.  I don't know how much this pair sold for, but average auction block  fair market value would be between $800-$1,100.  I'd be comfortable taking this Horsehide pair home for eight bills.

The stacked heels are classic chippewa ...

as are the instep and upper buckles.
