2011 WESCO x LANGLITZ HORSEHIDE "BOSS"

I'm curious to know why the decision was made to make the Shafts and Gussets horsehide.  Gussets?  Really?  If it was a matter of cost or hide availability, I would have chosen the Vamps over anything else. 

I'm sure there's a reason behind it all.  Either way, these are some ass-kicking boots.  Not so much kick-ass, but ass-kicking.
