RARE 1939-1941 HARLEY-DAVIDSON AVIATOR JACKET

I just experienced another "holy Horsehide!!" moment with this jacket.  It was on the auction block for well under an hour for $5,200 buy it now or best offer.  There was one offer pending when I happened upon the still-active auction.

Chest: 19"
Length:  26"
Sleeve:  24"
Shoulder: 17"

Using an inflation calculator, $14.75 today would make this jacket $227.82.  That's a gajillian percent profit.   I wonder what Larry McKaughan picked it up for?

I imagine this will be copied by Freewheelers/Bootleggers Reunion and retail for $2,500.

Here's the ad from the Rin Tanaka Harley-Davidson Book of Fashion
