BLACKTOP MOTORCYCLE x TOYS MCCOY BECK ENGINEER BOOTS

Here's an interesting pair of Engineer Boots by Toys McCoy in Japan.  They collaborated with Blacktop Motorcycle and came up with this black and white pair made of steerhide leather.  Nothing to write home about since the all black pair I own are made of horsehide and cost well over two bills less.  These are $1,100 USD.  I can think of quite a few pair of boots that overshadow these for much less - Mister Freedom Road Champs, a custom pair of Wesco's, Lone Wolfe's, Cushman...

My black pair of these boots are by far one of the favorites in my collection.  It has a profile I haven't found in any new Engineer Boots I've owned.  The horsehide is breaking in well and beginning to patina like a dream.

  1. Let' s see your BUCOs again. You haven' t posted them since they were spanking new. These b&w Beck' s are very high quality Japanese made.

  2. The Buco's are breaking in nicely! I'm kinda away from them at the moment, but will definitely post an updated pic of them very soon.

Yeah, the Becks are second to none. The lasts that were used for The Real McCoy's Buco model from about the past five or ten years are the same ones used on these Becks. Basically, I own two pairs of Buco's, but one has a "Beck" tag on it and minus the toe tracks on the becks.

    Cheers!

  4. Aren't they? Nothing's too hard - if you're willing to put up the funds, one can get anything. Using a proxy, you can get these from Japan.

    Thanks for the comment!
    Cheers!
