17 February 1954 - Marilyn Monroe, wearing an officer's shirt, poses with 1st Marine Division personnel during a show for more than 10,000 Marines, many of whom laid claim to front row seats seven hours before the start of her. When Miss Monroe reached Seoul City Airport earlier in the day, more newsmen covered her arrival than had covered any event since President Eisenhower visited the war front in 1952.
