Here is an amazing pair of deadstock 1940's Horsehide Engineer boots from a Japanese website - Complete with toe tracks.  The price is about right, relative to boots of the same caliber.  I'd drop no more than $800 for them.  If they were black, I'd do a grand.

These boots, although not the same ones, were featured on Rin Tanaka's My Freedamn! 5.  They belonged to John Gluckow of Strongarm Clothing & Supply Co.
