WEARMASTER WORK SHOES

1942 - Horsehide leather footwear was noteworthy in early advertisements and usually marked somewhere on the leather to indicate this premium working leather.  In the case of vintage Sears Wearmaster boots, blue tags with "Oil Tanned" indicates the leather makeup as cowhide. Don't be fooled by uninformed sellers trying to sell their boots at a premium using the "horsehide" buzzword.
