A regular on my blog, "Tones In My bones" turned me on to these awesome boots. They're called "Roper Boots" and are from Jumpin' Jack's out of Japan. The last time I saw Jack (aka Elovis Sato) was in America back in 2002 during the first ever Green Bay Rockin' 50's fest.
I'm definitely going to rock mine more often.

Here's an original pair that was probably used as inspiration (not this very one, of course). I recently found out that this belonged to a good friend of mine. I featured it back in July of 2009.
Jacks store is in harajuku and we were quite good friends through the 1990's, I even got an invite to his wedding which was quite a bizarre event, he is one very crazy guy and lots of fun. I'm glad you had a chance to meet him also.
