Ranger Heavy Duty Shoes have popped up a hand full of times over the years; however, they have surfaced in the form of boots.
Here's a great pair of 1940's / 1950's Cowhide Ranger Engineer Boots. Notice the visible toe tracks.
Here's a nice pair of deadstock 1950's workwear boots currently being offered online. These are said to be made of horsehide, but are actually Cowhide. Notice the leather sole shrinkage.
Update (12 Apr): These boots ended for $235.00

Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteAmazing engineer boots!
ReplyDeleteI would like to ask you a question.
I've followed your blog for a long time, and You seem to be one of the few people with the most knowledge on this subject.
I recently got into an argument about the boots worn by Marlon Brando. I personally believed the brand was Chippewa or Wesco, while the other part strongly believed it was the Red Wing 2268.
Could you confirm my statement or am i completly wrong.
Sincerely yours
Philip
