The color is more of an off-white, but not so much an egg shell - definitely has that worn-in look. Unlike your current-day shirts, this one is made to fit slim and has high arm holes just like you'd expect from a vintage shirt. This shirt, IMO, fits true to size. I wear a vintage size 38 and I couldn't be more happy with the fit of the Small.
No other American company currently has a white vintage-style chinstrap shirt, except for Mister Freedom ($200+), that I know about and at $98.00 I feel that this shirt is worth every penny. Sure, the Japanese market has them, but you'll pay over $200 as well.
