READER MAIL

Hello there, I have been reading your blog for some time now and enjoy it a lot. I ordered a cognac Badalassi from the first run a year or so ago and wanted to share some worn in pictures that you and some of your readers might enjoy. These John Lofgren boots are hands down the best crafted footwear I have ever owned. Usually I wear a size 11, sometimes a 11.5, but since those were already sold out and not knowing about the second run I ended up getting a size 10. As much as I dislike the idea, I think I will have to put these up on e-bay soon. That being said, I already secured a pair in proper size for the next run. I would never part with these boots without having another coming in.

Since price is a concern for many people when purchasing new items, I would like to close with a quote from my German grandparents "We were to poor to buy cheap"

Again, thanks for your blog and greetings from Toronto,

Andreas

Thanks for the email. Your boots are amazing! How did you get them that dark?

The dark color came about from the boots being wet and warm (that's a good start already), and then feeding the leather "Original Huberd's Shoe Oil" using your hands. After that I never did more than brushing off dirt or dust.
