There's no doubt these boots are in great vintage condition with super desirable patina, however, they are hardly "1930's" as the seller stated in the auction.  At the absolute most these are late 1940's, but that's pushing it.  I'd put these Vintage Engineer Boots in the mid-1950's.  There's nothing too spectacular about the profile and for this price, I'd sooner choose one of the many vintage-style boots available today.  I sure hope the buyer didn't place his/her bid based on the advertised circa of these boots - no penny over $400 is where I would be on 'em just for the patina...a little more for the slight chance they could be Steer or Horse.
