THE LAST CERTIFIED GUITAR PLAYER

Paul Yandell's illustrious musical career began in 1955 and he continued making music until 2011.  He became the "right hand man" for Chet Atkins in 1975 until around 2000.  Although Chet bestowed the title of "C.G.P" or Certified Guitar Player to only four artists, Tommy Emmanuel, John Knowles, the late Jerry Reed, and Steve Wariner.  Paul became the fifth honoree by the Atkins family this past August.

I've been a huge fan of Mr. Yandell's guit-pickin' for many years.  The music world definitely lost one of its finest musicians today.
