Another big score for the seller.  Sure these Vintage Engineer Boots look great, but based soley on condition, profile and soles, I would've paid no more than $600-$700.  I'm not positive if bidders are taking in to consideration the leather quality when dishing out this much scratch, but it should be known that Split is not quality leather.  Using classic Montgomery Ward's rating, I'd consider these to be Red Band quality boots.  Horsehide Engineer Boots rarely even sell for this much...
