I really like how the heel counter overhangs the heel the way an original 1930's Engineer Boot would. Now if the toe box was built without celastic, these boots are sure to have an awesome profile in no time flat. Slap on a set of period-correct buckles (or even just roller buckles) and you've got yourself a relatively low-priced set of kicks.

HI John, I always dig the boots that Cushman makes. I find an interesting article comparing this pair of boots with a 30s Peter's Engineer boots. According to shop's description, the Cushman boots are made according to Peters. In the out sole of Peter's I see "Peter's diamond brand shoes" which is also on Cushman's shoe box, the only difference is it is changed to "Cushman's diamond brand shoes". This is why I like Cushman boots, they are not only beautiful but also period correct. Here is the link for comparison:
