Here's another neat Marine Corps ring that sold for a descent $109.50 by gauthieb3sxz, obviously from the same manufacturing source as the one I own (last two pictures). What's significant about these rings is that they are made of silver rather than mixed metals that other Mexican rings of the same period are usually made of. Also, the eagles are facing the wrong direction.
**There is a myth that the presidential seal is changed during times of war, so that the eagle faces the arrows in its left talon. This belief may have arisen because major changes to the seal have coincidentally been made before or after wars — specifically, the 1945 change in the seal. Perhaps, these rings were produced during WWII based on this myth.
