This is a pretty nice looking pair of Engineers.  It has nice wear, but the wrinkles in the toe area leave much to be desired - looks like these were about a full size too big for the owner.  Sold for way more than its worth.  I would've paid no more than two bills for these seeing as they aren't the desireable 40's or 50's model; although, it was advertised as "1950's."  There haven't been any spectacular boots up for auction up to this point (ahem, except for the pair I sold for $825 - fair price, too), so naturally these sold for as much as they did since they were the closest thing to cool.  There are a few vintage items on eBay that have not been affected too bad by the horrible economy - Engineer boots is one of them.
