ULTRA MARATHONER?

Hardly.  I've been reading Dean Karnazes book, Ultra Marathon Man, and was inspired to run 10.17 miles with a buddy who's preparing for the Okinawa Marathon being held on 19 February.  Since the race is next week, we held his slow, pre-planned pace of 10 minute miles.  When all was said and done, we both agreed we could turn around and run the course right then and at a much faster pace.  It was quite difficult for us both to run that slow, so I imagine we could've held a 7 to 8 minute pace. 

I'm completely jealous that I wasn't able to register for next week's marathon.  Oh well, I'll have to wait 'til the next one in November.  There'll be half marathons and 10k's before then, so I'm super excited about that.
