HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY SANTA ROSA ENGINEER BOOTS

Joe McIntyre, the owner of the pair of the Mister Freedom Road Champs I featured back in June sent me photos of his new pair of Hollywood Trading Company (HTC) Santa Rosa brand Engineer Boots by Zip Stevenson.

This pair bears the rare green O'Sullivan half soles and heels from the 1940's/1950's Zip ran across.  Note the custom trademark Zip Stevenson double copper rivets.  The heel core is made from stacked leather and the heel cap is washer type. The heel rand is also made from leather.

Thanks Joe!!

Other details include of his boots include:

Standard:
  • Latigo leather in light, medium or dark brown and black (ages very quickly to a very cool patina)
  • Quadruple stitching on the  counter pocket
  • Triple stitching in the Vamp backstay.
  • Leather vamp lining
  • Separate rolled leather collar
  • Full leather Goodyear welt
  • Triple ribbed hardened steel shank arch support secured to "12 iron" leather outsoles with twin solid brass, semi-tubular rivets
Options:
  • Hard or Steel toes
  • Solid Brass instep and top buckles
  • Heavy nickel stamp steel instep and top buckles
  • Storm welt (no additional cost)
As you can see Zips boots are customizable.  If there's something not listed that you'd like to have added, he is more than willing to assist.  Oh...and don't forget the stud and jewel option.

Notice the attention to detail used in the upper vamp with the HTC trademark on the vamp and stitching on the upper straps.

Give Zip a call to get your hands on a pair.
